With our roots as a South African 4×4 rental business, we’ve spent many years travelling throughout Southern Africa—testing routes, discovering hard-to-reach destinations, and learning firsthand what makes a journey truly memorable. Our personal travel experiences, deep understanding of local conditions, and a desire to create the perfect self-drive vehicles have shaped the way we design and equip our fleet.

Starting with the Suzuki Jimny as the perfect compact 4×4 companion, we considered the realities of the Southern African travel environment—adding all-terrain tyres, adapted suspension, and durable canvas seat covers to make the vehicle truly road-ready. To help you experience South Africa more like a local, we’ve included thoughtful gear like tyre compressors, safety kits, camping fridges, and compact picnic essentials—small upgrades that make a big difference on the road.

Recognising that the Jimny isn’t the right fit for every traveller, we have expanded our offering into the SUV segment while staying true to our passion for compact, minimalist travel. The Cross Country range features the VW T-Cross and Toyota Corolla Cross. These vehicles provide a more conventional driving experience while still benefitting from our signature travel-ready setup with adapted tyres and included equipment — ideal for guests who want flexibility and comfort without going fully off-road.

And for those looking to explore more sustainably, we’ve introduced an Electric Vehicle option for Western Cape-based holidays—designed in partnership with DriveElectric and supported by custom route planning that takes range and charging access into account.
